Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has released its sales figures for May 2026, highlighting a substantial increase in domestic sales. The company reported selling 47,837 units in the domestic market, representing a healthy 9.1% year-on-year growth.
Total Sales and Export Performance
In addition to domestic sales, HMIL’s export figures for May 2026 stood at 13,300 units. This brings the total sales for the month to 61,137 units, a 4.1% increase compared to May 2025. This performance indicates a strong overall market presence for Hyundai vehicles.
First Two Months of FY27 Showcases Continued Momentum
Commenting on the sales results, Mr. Tarun Garg, MD & CEO of HMIL, expressed optimism. He noted that Hyundai Motor India has sustained its strong momentum into May. Furthermore, in the first two months of the current fiscal year (April and May of FY27), HMIL has witnessed domestic sales rise by an impressive 13%, totaling 99,739 units. This is a significant increase when compared to the 88,235 units recorded in the corresponding period of FY26.
