The company achieved a record total sales volume of 219,072 units, marking a significant year-on-year (YoY) growth of 14.7% compared to Q2 FY26. This marks the highest-ever quarterly sales volume for the company.

Domestic and Export Growth

The domestic sales performance was particularly strong, with a YoY increase of 18.8%, reaching 165,772 units in Q2 FY27. This surge in domestic demand was complemented by a steady rise in exports, which grew by 3.7% YoY to 53,300 units during the same period. This balanced growth across both segments contributed to the overall positive results.

Business Highlights and Milestones

HMIL’s business highlights for the quarter include maintaining its No.1 position in exports on a cumulative basis, having achieved 4 million PV exports from India. The company also celebrated a production milestone, with its Pune facility surpassing 1 Lakh vehicle production within just 8 months of operations. Furthermore, record monthly sales were achieved in September 2026, contributing to the highest-ever quarterly sales.

The company noted a robust momentum in CNG sales, with its highest-ever quarterly contribution of 19.1% in Q2 FY27. Rural volumes also showed sustained growth, with the highest-ever quarterly rural penetration recorded at 26.6%.

Financial Performance Overview

In terms of financial highlights for Q2 FY27, Hyundai Motor India reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue, although raw material cost inflation exerted pressure on profitability. Revenue from operations stood at ₹206,961 million, a YoY increase of 18.5%. EBITDA saw a decline of 18.7% to ₹19,745 million, and EBIT decreased by 25.8% to ₹14,191 million. Localization efforts also improved by 2% YoY, strengthening cost competitiveness.
