Hindustan Copper: Q1 FY27 Profit Declines 23% to ₹352 Crore

Hindustan Copper Limited has announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company reported a total income of ₹953.60 crore. Profit after tax for the quarter stood at ₹352.61 crore, a decrease compared to the previous year.

Hindustan Copper Reports Q1 FY27 Financial Results

Hindustan Copper Limited, a government of India enterprise, has released its unaudited financial results for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, ending June 30, 2026. The results were approved by the Board of Directors at a meeting held on August 10, 2026.

Financial Performance for Q1 FY27

The company registered a total income of ₹953.60 crore for the quarter. This comprises revenue from operations of ₹936.50 crore and other income of ₹17.10 crore.

Total expenses for the quarter amounted to ₹481.83 crore. Profit before exceptional items and tax (Profit/(Loss) before tax) stood at ₹471.77 crore. After accounting for a tax expense of ₹119.16 crore (Current Tax: ₹99.26 crore, Deferred Tax: ₹19.90 crore), the Profit/(Loss) for the period from continuing operations (after tax) was ₹352.61 crore.

The company reported Earnings Per Share (EPS) of ₹3.65 (Basic and Diluted) for the continuing operations in the quarter.

Consolidated Financial Highlights

The consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, also indicate a total income of ₹953.60 crore and a profit after tax of ₹352.37 crore attributable to the owners of the company. The consolidated EPS (Basic and Diluted) for the quarter was ₹3.64.

The results include the financial performance of its subsidiary, Chhattisgarh Copper Limited (74% holding), and its joint venture, Khanij Bidesh India Limited (30% holding).
