Hero MotoCorp Strong Start to FY27 with 5.66 Lakh Units Dispatched

Hero MotoCorp has reported a robust performance for April 2026, recording total dispatches of 566,086 units, significantly higher than the 305,406 units dispatched in April 2025. This strong start to FY27 reflects significant growth across both domestic and global operations. The company also saw an 8% growth in domestic retail registrations, driven by a broad-based surge across its motorcycle, scooter, and emerging electric vehicle segments.

Robust Performance Metrics

Hero MotoCorp demonstrated strong momentum in April 2026, with total dispatches reaching 566,086 units. This represents a substantial year-on-year increase compared to the 305,406 units reported in April 2025. Domestic demand was particularly strong, with 532,433 units sold within India, while exports contributed 33,653 units to the overall monthly performance.

Growth Across Key Segments

The company’s ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) segment recorded its highest April dispatch in the post-pandemic period, with volumes rising by 83% compared to the previous year. This growth was comprehensive, covering Entry, Deluxe, Premium, and Scooter segments. Furthermore, the company expanded its retail footprint by adding 70 new touchpoints, bringing the total Premia network to 132 outlets.

Momentum in Electric Mobility

VIDA, the company’s emerging mobility business, achieved remarkable growth with a 129% year-on-year increase in dispatches. To foster this growth, Hero MotoCorp launched several consumer engagement initiatives, including the “6 for 6” campaign in partnership with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the “Ride Jitna, Pay Utna” battery-as-a-service program. Additionally, the brand set a milestone by entering the Asia Book of Records for the longest electric two-wheeler journey covering 10,500 kms.

Global Business Expansion

The Global Business segment continues to show an upward trajectory. Strengthening its foothold in South America, Hero MotoCorp has partnered with Quilmotors to serve as its exclusive distributor in Ecuador. This strategic move aims to establish a future-ready ecosystem, including assembly operations and enhanced sales and after-sales service capabilities in the region.
