Mr. Mulgund brings a wealth of experience, totaling over 24 years in the global automotive sector. His expertise covers engineering, product development, and strategic planning, with extensive work across the USA, Japan, China, and India. He has developed a strong understanding of diverse automotive markets and possesses deep cross-cultural insights. Prior to joining Hero MotoCorp, he served as a Partner at EY-Parthenon, leading strategic initiatives in EV, battery, ICE, and new-age mobility. His previous roles also include significant contributions at Aisin AW and FEV Inc., and he was President of Ricardo Strategic Consulting, India.
Strategic Vision and Expertise
Mr. Mulgund is recognized for his thought-leadership, having authored papers on battery swapping, software-defined vehicles, and alternate battery chemistries. His appointment is expected to be pivotal in shaping and advancing Hero MotoCorp’s future strategic initiatives. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, an MS from the University of Toledo, and an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
