HDFC Bank Limited has announced that CARE Ratings Limited and India Ratings and Research Private Limited have assigned or reaffirmed credit ratings for the bank’s Certificates of Deposit. These actions were taken on August 18, 2026, and August 19, 2026, respectively.

CARE Ratings Limited

CARE Ratings Limited has reaffirmed the rating for HDFC Bank’s Certificate of Deposit. The instrument has a size of ₹2,00,000.00 crore, which has been enhanced from ₹1,50,000.00 crore. The rating assigned is CARE A1+.

India Ratings and Research Private Limited

India Ratings and Research Private Limited has taken the following rating actions:

  • For a Certificate of Deposit with a maturity of 7-365 days and an issue size of INR 500 billion, the rating assigned is IND A1+.
  • For another Certificate of Deposit with a maturity of 7-365 days and an issue size of INR 1500 billion, the rating affirmed is IND A1+.

These ratings underscore the bank’s consistent credit quality and its ability to meet its financial obligations.
