HCLTech Inaugurates Advanced Semiconductor Lab in Bengaluru

HCLTech, a global technology company, announced the launch of its new Advanced Semiconductor Lab in Bengaluru on September 8, 2026. This significant development, supported by an investment of ₹185 crore, marks a key milestone in HCLTech’s strategy to advance semiconductor innovation and reduce time-to-market for its international clientele. The facility is expected to position HCLTech as a frontrunner in providing comprehensive semiconductor testing solutions.

State-of-the-Art Facility and Capabilities

The new lab encompasses 40,000 sq ft of space, featuring 25,000 sq ft of Class 10K and 1K cleanrooms. It is equipped to deliver end-to-end post-silicon engineering, advanced testing, and failure analysis services. Utilizing cutting-edge tools from industry leaders such as Teradyne, Advantest, Keysight, Tektronix, and Thermo Fisher Scientific, the facility will support crucial activities including research and development, pre-production, and production qualification. This will enable faster turnaround times, superior quality, and reduced complexity for clients globally.

Streamlining the Semiconductor Value Chain

In alignment with HCLTech’s Spec2Parts business model, the lab functions as a unified platform for electrical validation, automated testing, qualification, and failure analysis. This integrated approach streamlines the entire process from design specifications to the delivery of finished semiconductor parts. By addressing critical gaps in India’s semiconductor ecosystem, HCLTech aims to provide faster and more robust solutions, fostering greater innovation and efficiency for both its customers and the industry at large.
