Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GNFC) has announced a change in its leadership. The Government of Gujarat has withdrawn the nomination of Shri Rajkumar Beniwal, IAS, as the Managing Director. Concurrently, Shri Sanjeev Kumar, IAS, has been nominated to hold the additional charge of Managing Director. Shri Beniwal’s relinquishment and Shri Kumar’s assumption of charge will be formalized at the upcoming Board of Directors meeting.
Leadership Transition at GNFC
Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GNFC) has informed the stock exchanges about a significant change in its top leadership. Pursuant to a notification from the Government of Gujarat dated September 5, 2026, the nomination of Shri Rajkumar Beniwal, IAS, as the Managing Director of the company has been withdrawn. This marks the end of his tenure in the role.
New Additional Charge Appointed
In a related move, the Government of Gujarat has nominated Shri Sanjeev Kumar, IAS, to take over the additional charge of the Managing Director on the Board of GNFC. Shri Sanjeev Kumar, who holds DIN No: 03600655, will be formally appointed to this position during the ensuing meeting of the Board of Directors. The company stated that necessary formalities for the handing over and taking over of charge, including all statutory procedures, will be completed in due course.
The exact date of Shri Beniwal’s relinquishment and Shri Kumar’s assumption of charge will be communicated separately to the stock exchanges. This transition is expected to be managed smoothly, ensuring continuity in the company’s operations and strategic direction.
