Greenpanel Industries Strong Volume Growth and Strategic Market Expansion in FY26

Greenpanel Industries reported a resilient performance for the year ended March 31, 2026, driven by a 12.9% year-on-year growth in total MDF volumes. Despite profitability being impacted by currency fluctuations and higher capital-related costs, the company maintained strong gross margins of 48.2%. Strategic initiatives, including a renewed focus on sales, new product launches like ‘BoilBlack’, and enhanced trade engagement, have positioned the company to leverage its expanded capacity.

Financial Performance Overview

For the financial year 2026 (12MFY26), Greenpanel Industries achieved a double-digit topline growth, with total MDF volumes rising by 12.9% year-on-year. Domestic MDF volumes showed an even stronger performance, increasing by 16.9%. The company maintained a robust gross margin of 48.2%, reflecting efficient raw material management and consumption practices.

Strategic Growth Initiatives

The company implemented a multi-pronged approach to drive volume and market share from Q2FY26 onwards. This included the launch of high-performance products such as HDWR Door, Thin MDF, FRMDF, and the premium ‘BoilBlack’ BWP HDF. These product launches were supported by a massive sales activation drive, covering 650+ outlets across 32 cities in just 11 days, and an upgraded loyalty program for trade partners via the MITR 2.0 app.

Profitability and Debt Profile

While operating EBITDA margins stood at 8.8%, net profitability was impacted by specific non-operational factors. These included a ~Rs. 49 crore currency loss on Euro-denominated borrowings and Rs. 40 crore in higher depreciation and interest expenses associated with the new Andhra Pradesh manufacturing facility. Despite these costs, the company demonstrated disciplined capital management, reducing net debt by ~Rs. 60 crore (on a constant currency basis) compared to the previous year, with reported net debt standing at Rs. 156 crore as of March 31, 2026.

Digital and Brand Presence

Greenpanel significantly amplified its digital footprint, recording over 19.5 million views and 53,000+ clicks across campaigns. The brand was also recognized as one of the ‘Most Trusted Brands of India 2026-27’ by Marksmen Daily, while MD & CEO Mr. Shobhan Mittal was honored with the ‘CEO of the Year’ award at the Business Leader of the Year event in February 2026.
