Great Eastern Shipping has taken delivery of a 2015 built Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier named “Jag Amol,” which has a capacity of about 81,843 dwt. The company had previously contracted to purchase this vessel in Q2 FY26. This acquisition increases the company’s fleet to 39 vessels, strengthening its position in the dry bulk shipping market.
Fleet Expansion
Great Eastern Shipping has announced the delivery of a Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier, the “Jag Amol”. This vessel, built in 2015, has a capacity of approximately 81,843 dwt. The company had arranged to buy the vessel in Q2 FY26, marking a strategic addition to its fleet.
Fleet Composition
With the addition of “Jag Amol,” Great Eastern Shipping’s owned fleet now comprises 39 vessels. This includes 26 tankers (5 crude carriers, 17 product tankers, and 4 LPG carriers) and 13 dry bulk carriers, with a total capacity of 3.13 Mn dwt.
Further Transactions
In addition to this delivery, during Q2 FY26, Great Eastern Shipping has also committed to purchasing 1 secondhand Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier and 1 secondhand Suezmax crude tanker. Simultaneously, the company has agreed to sell 1 secondhand Suezmax crude tanker. These transactions are projected to be finalized by Q3 FY26.
