Q2 FY27 Highlights

In Q2 FY27, GAVL’s revenue surged by 17% year-on-year to ₹2,995 crore, driven by strong performances in its Animal Nutrition, Oil Palm, and B2C foods segments. This growth was fueled by higher realizations and volumes across key business verticals. While EBITDA remained flat at ₹222 crore, impacted by input cost inflation and El Niño, Profit Before Tax (PBT) increased by 5% to ₹131 crore. Profit After Tax (PAT) showed a significant rise of 22%, reaching ₹103 crore. The company also highlighted strong working capital management, with receivables at 21 days compared to 32 days in the previous year.

H1 FY27 Performance

For the first half of FY27, revenue grew by 13% to ₹5,847 crore, led by Oil Palm and Animal Nutrition. However, EBITDA, PBT, and PAT saw a slight decline of 5%, 4%, and 1% respectively compared to the previous year, primarily due to prevailing market conditions.

Segment-Wise Performance

Key business segments demonstrated varied growth. Animal Nutrition revenue grew 14% with a 32% increase in segment results. Oil Palm revenue saw a 28% increase, with segment results up 4%. Crop Care revenue rose by 42%, albeit with margin pressure. Astec LifeSciences experienced a revenue decline of ~3%. Creamline Dairy reported a 6% topline growth, while Godrej Foods achieved 8% revenue growth, with its B2C segment up by approximately 50%. The ACI-GAVL joint venture in Bangladesh reported a significant revenue increase of 32%.
