Godawari Power & Ispat Strong Financial Performance and Final Dividend Announcement

Godawari Power & Ispat Limited reported strong financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026. The company announced a 100% final dividend of Re. 1 per equity share, subject to shareholder approval. Additionally, the Board has proposed a significant Rs. 200 crore investment into its subsidiary, Godawari New Energy Private Limited, for the development of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant, alongside plans for an EGM to discuss loan and remuneration proposals.

Financial Performance for FY 2025-26

Godawari Power & Ispat has concluded a robust financial year. For the year ended March 31, 2026, the company achieved a standalone total income of Rs. 4,905.45 crore, with a profit for the period reaching Rs. 919.43 crore. On a consolidated basis, the total income for the year stood at Rs. 5,474.79 crore, with a profit of Rs. 801.74 crore. These figures underscore the company’s sustained operational growth throughout the financial year.

Dividend and Record Date

Recognizing the company’s performance, the Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of Re. 1 per share (representing 100% of the face value of Re. 1) for the financial year 2025-26. The company has fixed Friday, August 14, 2026, as the record date to determine shareholder eligibility for this payout, pending approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

Strategic Investments and Expansion

The company is intensifying its focus on renewable energy. The Board has proposed an additional investment of Rs. 200 crore into its wholly owned subsidiary, Godawari New Energy Private Limited (GNEPL). This funding, provided via equity or loan, will support the capital expenditure for setting up a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant, bringing the total initial investment in GNEPL to Rs. 700 crore.

Corporate Developments

In addition to financial and investment updates, the company announced that an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The agenda includes:

  • Approval for a loan of up to Rs. 150 crore to the subsidiary Godawari Education Research Foundation (GERF) to support the Residential School Project in Naya Raipur.
  • Proposed revisions to the remuneration for Executive Directors Shri Dinesh Agrawal, Shri Siddharth Agrawal, and Shri Abhishek Agrawal.
  • Re-appointment of internal and cost auditors for the financial year 2026-27.
