The agreement covers the procurement of Balance of System components for a 5 MWh DC Block. This initiative supports GNEPL’s first phase of a 20 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant located in Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, marking a significant advancement in the company’s energy storage manufacturing capabilities.

On April 23, 2026, Godawari Power and Ispat Limited announced that its subsidiary, GNEPL, has solidified a partnership with Shanghai Shenyi Roche Energy Technology Limited. This agreement is a pivotal step toward the development of a large-scale 20 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility. The deal specifically focuses on the supply of the ‘Balance of System’ for a 5 MWh DC Block on a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) basis.
