Despite temporary geopolitical headwinds impacting international travel, the company achieved record milestones for the FY2026 fiscal year, crossing the 121.6 million passenger mark. Key airports, including Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mopa, demonstrated strong operational resilience and continued long-term growth, supported by expanded connectivity and record-breaking cargo volumes at major hubs.
FY2026 Operational Milestones
GMR Airports concluded the fiscal year 2026 with robust growth, handling an all-time high of 121.6 million passengers. Domestic traffic reached a record 92 million passengers, reflecting a 0.6% year-on-year increase, while international traffic saw a 1.7% year-on-year growth, reaching 30 million passengers. Operational efficiency reached new heights, with Delhi Airport processing over 1 million metric tonnes of cargo, marking the third time the airport has crossed this significant threshold.
Delhi Airport Performance
Delhi Airport remained a key growth driver, serving 6.7 million passengers in April 2026. For the full fiscal year, the airport handled 78.7 million passengers. The facility continues to rank among the world’s top airports, improving to the 28th global position in the latest Skytrax rankings. Connectivity has also expanded significantly, with the airport now linking to 161 global destinations. Additionally, the airport received the Management Accounting Award for its commitment to financial excellence.
Hyderabad and Mopa Airport Highlights
Hyderabad Airport achieved its highest-ever annual passenger traffic, recording 30.5 million passengers in FY2026, a 3.4% year-on-year increase. Cargo operations also hit a milestone, with 1.87 lakh metric tonnes handled. Meanwhile, Mopa Airport in Goa reported a stellar performance for the year, with total passenger traffic growing by 15.2% to reach 5.4 million, driven by strong growth in both domestic and international segments.
Future Expansion: Bhogapuram Airport
The development of the new Bhogapuram Airport is nearing completion, with an overall project progress of 99.2% as of April 30, 2026. Designed with an initial capacity of 6 million passengers per annum (MPPA), the project is planned for completion by June 30, 2026. The airport has already been declared a ‘Major Airport’, positioning it to become a significant transit hub in the region.
