Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has announced the launch of its innovative RYALTRIS® Nasal Spray in Brazil. This dual-action therapy targets moderate to severe allergic rhinitis symptoms in adults and adolescents. The launch follows approval from the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency and signifies Glenmark’s commitment to expanding its respiratory portfolio in key global markets.
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Expands Global Footprint with RYALTRIS® Launch in Brazil
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. has successfully launched its differentiated dual-action therapy, RYALTRIS® Nasal Spray, in Brazil. The product, developed by its wholly-owned subsidiary Glenmark Specialty S.A., is designed to treat moderate to severe symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (AR) in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older. This strategic launch marks a significant milestone in Glenmark’s expanding global respiratory innovation portfolio and strengthens its presence in Latin America.
Regulatory Approval and Market Significance
The launch in Brazil follows the receipt of regulatory approval from the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency, Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (ANVISA), earlier this year. This development underscores Glenmark’s dedication to advancing its respiratory innovation journey and ensuring wider access to differentiated therapies worldwide. Allergic rhinitis is a prevalent condition in Brazil, affecting an estimated 20-30% of the population, highlighting a substantial need for effective treatment options.
RYALTRIS®: A Differentiated Treatment Option
RYALTRIS® represents the first olopatadine-containing intranasal combination therapy available in Brazil. It uniquely combines an antihistamine (olopatadine hydrochloride) with a corticosteroid (mometasone furoate) in a single nasal spray. This dual-action approach offers a convenient and effective solution for patients suffering from allergic rhinitis symptoms.
Global Reach and Future Outlook
Marco Cerato, Executive Vice President & Global Head – Innovative Business at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, commented on the launch, stating, “The launch of RYALTRIS® in Brazil marks a significant milestone for our innovative respiratory portfolio and reflects our continued commitment to advancing respiratory care through science-led innovation and a patient-centric approach.” RYALTRIS® is Glenmark’s first globally commercialized branded innovative product and has already received approvals in 57 markets worldwide, including the United States, European Union, United Kingdom, Australia, South Korea, Russia, and China.
