Garware Hi-Tech Films Announces Major Capacity Expansion for Lamination Line

Garware Hi-Tech Films has announced a significant capacity expansion for its lamination line (SCF) at its Waluj, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar facility. The company plans to invest Rs. 191 crores plus applicable taxes to add an annual capacity of 1,200 LSF. This expansion is designed to support the company’s future growth objectives and is expected to be completed within a 14-month timeframe.

Strategic Investment in Manufacturing

On May 06, 2026, the Board of Directors of Garware Hi-Tech Films approved a new capital expenditure project to bolster the company’s manufacturing footprint. The company will establish a new lamination line (SCF) to address rising demand, marking a significant milestone in its operational growth strategy.

Project Details and Financials

The proposed expansion will add 1,200 LSF per annum to the existing capacity of 4,200 LSF per annum. With the current manufacturing lines operating at optimum utilization levels, this addition is essential for sustaining the company’s competitive edge. The project entails an investment of approximately Rs. 191 crores (excluding applicable taxes), which the company intends to finance entirely through internal accruals.

Timeline for Execution

The project is set for an aggressive implementation schedule, with the full installation and commissioning of the new line expected within the next 14 months. The primary rationale behind this investment is to ensure the company is well-positioned to cater to its future growth and expanding customer requirements in the high-performance film segment.
