Ganesha Ecosphere Limited has announced a strategic shift in its expansion strategy. The company has decided to put its 67,500 TPA greenfield project in Odisha on hold. Instead, the company will focus on scaling up its existing rPET granules production facility in Warangal by 22,500 TPA. This expansion, costing Rs. 125 crore, is expected to be completed by March 2027, bringing the total installed capacity at the unit to 87,000 TPA.
Refining Growth Strategy
In a strategic pivot, Ganesha Ecosphere Limited has elected to defer its previously planned 67,500 TPA greenfield project in Odisha. The Board of Directors reached this decision on May 20, 2026, citing the need to prioritize immediate market demands. While the Odisha project remains a future possibility, the company is shifting its current capital allocation toward optimizing existing infrastructure.
Warangal Facility Expansion
To meet rising demand, the company will expand its existing rPET granules unit located in Warangal. This expansion will add 22,500 TPA to the current capacity. Once completed by March 2027, the total installed capacity at the Warangal plant will reach 87,000 TPA. Currently, the existing facility is operating at an efficient capacity utilization rate of approximately 85%.
Financial Outlook
The total investment required for this capacity enhancement is estimated at Rs. 125 crore. Ganesha Ecosphere plans to finance this growth through a combination of debt, equity, and internal accruals. This move is designed to support the company’s broader business expansion objectives while maintaining a focus on operational efficiency.
