Finolex Industries Reports Q2 FY27 Performance
Finolex Industries Limited has submitted its earnings transcript for the second quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026. The company experienced a notable rebound in volume during the second quarter of fiscal year 2027, with sales volume growing by 28% over the previous year to 83,407 metric tons. This recovery was attributed to easing channel destocking and a stabilization in PVC prices.
Financial Highlights
Revenue from operations for the quarter saw a corresponding increase of 27%, reaching INR1,094 crore. Profit Before Tax (PBT) for Q2 FY27 stood at INR153 crore, compared to INR158 crore in Q2 FY26, indicating a largely flat profitability despite higher material costs.
Half-Year Performance
For the first half of FY27, the company’s volume was 4% lower year-on-year at 151,106 metric tons, primarily due to weaker performance in the first quarter. However, revenue from operations for the first half grew by 4% to INR1,978 crore, supported by the strong Q2 volume growth and slightly better realizations. The PBT for the first half rose by 6% to INR300 crore from INR284 crore in the previous year’s first half.
Market Dynamics and Outlook
Management highlighted the introduction of a minimum import price for suspension-grade PVC resin as a factor in price stabilization. While geopolitical uncertainties remain a concern, the company observed a more stable PVC pricing environment in Q2. The outlook for the second half of the year is cautiously optimistic, with the pre-monsoon window from January to May expected to be a seasonally strong period for volumes. The company continues to focus on maintaining sustainable margins alongside volume growth.
Key Financials
As of September 30, 2026, Finolex Industries maintained a strong liquidity position with a net free cash flow of approximately INR2,584 crore.
