Credit Rating Reaffirmed for Equitas Small Finance Bank

Equitas Small Finance Bank has received a significant endorsement from CARE Ratings Limited, which has reaffirmed the bank’s issuer rating at ‘CARE AA-; Stable’. This rating action was confirmed via letters dated September 07, 2026, and reflects CARE Ratings’ assessment of the bank’s recent operational and financial performance through FY26 (Audited) and Q1FY27 (Provisional).

Key Ratings and Status

The reaffirmed rating of ‘CARE AA-; Stable’ applies to the bank’s issuer rating, as well as its Lower Tier II bonds, totaling ₹1000 crore across two tranches (INE063P08112 and INE063P08120). Additionally, the bank’s Certificate of Deposits program, with an amount of ₹1500 crore, has been rated ‘CARE A1+’. All these ratings have been noted as ‘Re-affirmed’, signaling continued confidence in the bank’s credit profile.
