Enviro Infra Engineers Limited has successfully secured a favorable arbitral award totaling approximately ₹8.65 crore. The award resolves long-standing disputes concerning two major Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) projects located in Faridabad and Rohtak. The decision marks the conclusion of arbitration proceedings initiated in 2022, ensuring the recovery of dues and associated legal costs for the company.
Details of the Arbitral Award
Following arbitration proceedings initiated in 2022, a Sole Arbitrator has ruled in favor of Enviro Infra Engineers Limited against the Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC). The total award of ₹8.65 crore encompasses principal dues, interest, and litigation costs related to two key infrastructure projects.
Project-Specific Compensation
The arbitral tribunal has allocated the recovery amount across the two projects as follows:
- Faridabad Project: ₹4,75,07,724 awarded for the construction and operation of the 10.5 MLD CETP.
- Rohtak Project: ₹3,34,68,894 awarded for the construction and operation of the 10 MLD CETP.
Additional Financial Recoveries
In addition to the primary awarded amounts, the company is entitled to 16% per annum simple interest on principal sums of VAT and Service Tax, calculated from January 1, 2026. The ruling also stipulates that the respondent must refund all fees and expenses deposited by the company with the Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DIAC). Furthermore, the company will receive ₹14 lakh in legal costs for each of the two references, bringing the arbitration process to a successful conclusion.
