Emami: Q1 FY27 Consolidated Revenue Up 15% to ₹1,039 Cr

Emami Limited announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company achieved a consolidated revenue from operations of ₹1,039 crore, marking a 15% increase year-on-year. EBITDA grew by 6% to ₹226 crore, driven by strategic investments and a robust domestic business performance, despite challenging market conditions including elevated input costs and geopolitical disruptions.

Emami Reports Resilient Q1 FY27 Performance

Emami Limited has posted a strong performance for the first quarter of the financial year 2027 (Q1FY27), ending on June 30, 2026. The company’s consolidated revenues from operations saw a significant increase of 15%, reaching ₹1,039 crore, compared to the same period last year. This growth underscores the resilience of Emami’s diversified portfolio and its strategic execution.

Key Financial Highlights

EBITDA for the quarter rose by 6% to ₹226 crore, despite facing higher input costs attributed to inflation and global supply chain challenges. Profit Before Tax (PBT) also saw a growth of 4% to ₹195 crore. The company highlighted disciplined cost management and operational efficiencies as key drivers for these results.

Domestic Business Strength

The domestic business demonstrated robust growth, with revenues increasing by 20%. On a like-to-like basis, domestic growth stood at a healthy 12%, with volume growth at 8%. This performance was supported by strong category growth in Hair & Scalp Care (11%) and steady contributions from Skin Care (3%) and Health Care (2%).

Strategic Investments Drive Growth

Emami’s strategic investments portfolio continued its impressive trajectory, growing by an exceptional 61% on a like-to-like basis. This segment now constitutes approximately 18% of the domestic business, highlighting the increasing relevance of Emami’s new-age growth engines, including its majority stakes in IncNut and its wholly owned subsidiary Axiom Ayurveda.

International Business Impacted by Geopolitics

The international business experienced a decline of 12%, primarily due to disruptions arising from the West Asia conflict. Despite these headwinds, the company is focusing on strengthening market fundamentals and operational agility to regain momentum as market conditions stabilize.

Channel Transformation

Emami’s channel transformation journey is progressing well, with organized channels growing by 19% on a like-to-like basis and now contributing 32% of the domestic business. Modern Trade and E-commerce channels maintained strong momentum, with Quick Commerce capturing 35% of E-commerce sales, reflecting the effectiveness of Emami’s omnichannel strategy.

Mr. Harsha V Agarwal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, expressed optimism about the company’s performance, emphasizing the strength of its brands and execution capabilities. Mr. Mohan Goenka, Vice Chairman and Whole-Time Director, noted the resilience of the operating model and the strategic progress made in channel transformation and innovation.
