Eicher Motors Royal Enfield Reports Strong May 2026 Sales with 15% Growth

Eicher Motors, through its Royal Enfield brand, announced robust sales figures for May 2026. The company sold 1,03,231 motorcycles, marking a significant 15% growth compared to the same period last year. This performance was driven by strong demand across domestic and international markets, and further bolstered by the launch of the Bullet 650. Strategic manufacturing expansion plans were also revealed.

Royal Enfield Achieves Strong May 2026 Sales Momentum

Eicher Motors Limited, parent company of Royal Enfield, has reported impressive sales figures for May 2026. The iconic motorcycle brand sold a total of 1,03,231 motorcycles, achieving a substantial 15% growth compared to May 2025, when 89,429 units were sold.

Key Sales Breakdown (May 2026 vs. May 2025)

The sales data reveals strong performance across different segments:

  • Models with engine capacity up to 350cc: Sold 90,784 units in May 2026, a 19% increase from 76,492 units in May 2025.
  • Models with engine capacity exceeding 350cc: Sold 12,447 units in May 2026, a slight decrease of 4% from 12,937 units in May 2025.
  • International Business: Despite a decrease of 33% in units sold (9,116 in May 2026 vs. 13,609 in May 2025), the overall domestic growth compensated for this dip.

Year-to-Date Performance

The year-to-date figures also reflect positive momentum:

  • Total Sales (Apr-May ’26 vs. Apr-May ’25): Total sales reached 2,16,395 units, an increase of 23% over the previous year’s 1,75,988 units.
  • Models up to 350cc (YTD): Saw a 26% growth, with sales of 1,90,487 units compared to 1,50,774 units.
  • Models exceeding 350cc (YTD): Experienced a 3% growth, with sales at 25,908 units compared to 25,214 units.
  • International Business (YTD): Showed a decline of 25%, with 18,151 units sold compared to 24,166 units.

Product Launches and Strategic Expansion

The company highlighted the launch of the Bullet 650 in India and across EMEA and ANZ regions, expanding its 650cc portfolio. Furthermore, Royal Enfield announced significant strategic expansion plans with the acquisition of land in Tada, Andhra Pradesh, for a new greenfield manufacturing facility. This project involves an approximate investment of ₹2,500 crore and aims to augment manufacturing capacity for future growth.

Community Engagement and Global Presence

In line with its commitment to rider communities, Royal Enfield announced registrations for the 22nd edition of the Himalayan Odyssey and the 6th edition of the Continental GT Cup for 2026. The company also detailed its international business activities, including product introductions and store inaugurations in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and expansion in Latin America and Brazil. Royal Enfield continues to strengthen its global presence, operating through over 2074 stores in India and nearly 1212 stores in 80+ countries.
