The company sold a total of 1,26,479 units, marking an impressive 11% growth over the 1,14,002 units sold in August 2025. This performance continues the company’s strong sales momentum heading into the festive season.
Domestic and Export Growth
Domestic sales contributed substantially to the overall growth, with 1,14,204 units sold in August 2026, a 11% rise from 1,02,876 units in the previous year. Exports also showed a positive trend, increasing by 10% to 12,275 units in August 2026, up from 11,126 units in August 2025. The company noted that its key international markets continued on a strong growth trajectory during the month.
Product Development and Initiatives
In addition to sales performance, Eicher Motors, through its Royal Enfield brand, highlighted several key developments. The company launched the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition and Gorkha Apparel Collection in India and Nepal, inspired by the Gorkha regiment. An updated Continental GT 650 was also launched, featuring several enhancements. Royal Enfield also hosted community events such as HunterHood in Kochi and GRRR Nights in Mumbai, further strengthening its brand presence and rider engagement.
Year-to-Date Performance
For the year-to-date period (April to August 2026), Eicher Motors sold a total of 5,75,138 units, representing a 23% increase over the 4,67,575 units sold during the same period last year. Domestic sales for the year-to-date stand at 5,20,695 units, up 28%, while exports reached 54,443 units, showing a -9% change.
Global Business Updates
Royal Enfield’s international business also saw several activities, including launches and showcases in Brazil, Southeast Asia, and Thailand. The brand announced Moto Mongolia 2026 and continued to foster its global riding community through various events.
