Eicher Motors announced that its commercial vehicles arm, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), recorded total sales of 8,434 units in August 2026. This represents a significant year-on-year increase of 17.7% compared to the 7,167 units sold in August 2025. Domestic sales saw a strong jump of 19.8% to 7,584 units, driven by robust performance in the SCV/LMD Trucks segment. Exports, however, experienced a slight decline of 2.5%.

Eicher Motors Limited has announced the sales performance of its subsidiary, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), for the month of August 2026. The company reported a total sales volume of 8,434 units, marking a substantial increase of 17.7% compared to the 7,167 units sold in August 2025. This positive trend underscores a healthy demand for VECV’s product portfolio.
Domestic Sales Surge Driven by Light & Medium Duty Segment
The domestic market showed significant strength, with total domestic sales reaching 7,584 units in August 2026, a growth of 19.8% over the previous year. Key contributors to this growth include the SCV/LMD Trucks (< 18.5T) segment, which saw sales climb by 29.0% to 4,623 units, and the LMD Bus segment, which grew by 2.6% to 919 units. The HD Trucks (≥18.5T) segment also posted a healthy increase of 13.0%.
Exports Experience a Mild Decline
In contrast to domestic performance, VECV’s exports witnessed a slight dip. Total exports for August 2026 stood at 578 units, a decrease of 2.5% compared to 593 units in the prior year. The SCV/LMD export segment saw a marginal increase of 9.0% to 364 units, while HD Trucks experienced a significant drop of 39.7%. The Bus export segment grew by 13.9%.
Year-to-Date Performance Highlights Growth
On a year-to-date (YTD) basis for 2026-27, total sales for Eicher Trucks and Buses (including EVs) reached 40,424 units, up 15.4% from 35,037 units in the corresponding period of 2025-26. Domestic sales for the YTD period grew by 16.8% to 37,926 units, and total VECV sales (inclusive of EVs) for the YTD period increased by 15.6% to 41,490 units.
