Edelweiss Financial Services Limited has declared its financial results for the first quarter of the Financial Year 2027, ending June 30, 2026. The company reported a consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹122 crore, marking a substantial 83% increase compared to the same period last year. This strong performance underscores the company’s robust profitability and growing customer franchise.

Fundraising Initiative Approved

In a significant strategic move, the Board of Directors has approved the raising of funds through a public issue of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs). The company plans to raise an amount not exceeding ₹1,000 crore, which will be undertaken in one or more tranches. This fundraising is intended to support the company’s growth initiatives and strengthen its capital base.

Key Business Segment Growth

Edelweiss showcased healthy growth across its diverse business segments:

  • Alternative Asset Management: Fee Paying AUM grew by 27% YoY to ₹48,623 crore, with PAT increasing by 45% YoY to ₹81 crore.
  • Mutual Fund Business: Equity AUM saw a 32% YoY increase, reaching ₹96,000 crore, and crossed the ₹1 trillion mark in July 2026. The SIP book also grew by 63% YoY.
  • Housing Finance: Disbursements grew by 3x YoY, and AUM increased by 14% YoY to ₹4,900 crore.
  • General Insurance: Gross Written Premium (GWP) increased by 58% YoY.
  • Life Insurance: Recorded a Gross Premium of ₹287 crore, with AUM growing by 13% YoY.

Resilient Balance Sheet

The company highlighted its strong and well-capitalized balance sheet. Net Worth stands at ₹5,959 crore, and capital adequacy across credit entities is over 27%. Consol Liquidity is at ₹6,100 crore, demonstrating financial stability.

Focus Areas for FY27

Looking ahead, Edelweiss is focused on strategic priorities for FY27, including the listing of EAAA, the closure of the strategic investment by Carlyle in Nido Home Finance, scaling up profitability in Asset Management, achieving breakeven in Insurance businesses, and a calibrated scale-up in Credit businesses.
