Diamond Power Infrastructure Secures Significant Order for Data Center Cables
Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DICABS) announced on August 22, 2026, that it has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Aurionpro Solutions Limited. This significant order, valued at approximately ₹52.86 crore (including GST), is for the supply of High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) electrical cables. These cables will be utilized for a hyperscale data centre campus being developed in Hyderabad.
Scope and Terms of the Order
The LOI pertains to the HYD-20 package of the data centre campus, where Aurionpro Solutions serves as the appointed EPC contractor. Supplies are slated to commence immediately and will proceed on a staggered basis, synchronized with the ongoing construction schedule of the site. The contract is structured on a price-variation basis, utilizing the IEEMA formula with April 2026 base indices. The order includes approximately 130 kilometers of cable, primarily 1100 V grade XLPE-insulated, FRLS-sheathed copper conductor cables, along with 33 kV (E) grade aluminium XLPE armoured FRLS cables and 1.1 kV aluminium armoured LT power cables. The specifications adhere to the client’s IEC 61914 cleat and fire-performance standards.
Strategic Importance and Company Capabilities
This order leverages the company’s recently commissioned copper wire drawing and copper cable manufacturing line, which has a capacity of 1,500 MT of copper cables per month. This capability was specifically developed to address the demands of high-intensity power applications such as data centres and power plants, marking DICABS’ expansion into copper-based cables. The company views this as a strategic entry into a growing market segment.
Management Commentary
Mr. Umesh Chayya, Whole Time Director at Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited, highlighted the strategic importance of this win. He stated, “Data centres are the single fastest-growing load centre in India, and they demand cable of a quality and consistency that very few plants in the country can deliver at scale. This order validates two things – the decision to invest in copper capability, and our ability to hold delivery schedules against a construction programme that moves week to week.” He further added, “Our Order book for Data Center at Present value exceeds Rs 575 cr – we expect to target this segment aggressively.”
