Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited has marked a significant operational milestone by commissioning a new production line at its advanced manufacturing site in Vadodara, Gujarat. This 7th MV/EHV (Medium Voltage/Extra High Voltage) line is built upon the latest Continuous Catenary Vulcanisation (CCV) technology, which is critical for ensuring superior quality and reliability in power transmission cables.
Capacity and Investment Details
The addition of this production line increases the company’s output capacity by 150 kms per month, building upon its existing capacity of 900 kms per month. The project involved a total capital investment of Rs 55 crore, which was funded entirely through internal accruals, reflecting a strong commitment to self-sustained growth and operational excellence.
Driving Future Growth
Prior to this commissioning, the facility was operating at a capacity utilization rate of 60%. This expansion is directly aimed at capitalizing on the increasing demand for specialized power products in the energy sector.
