Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. has reported its financial results for the first quarter of FY27, ending June 30, 2026. The company showcased a strong performance, with consolidated revenue growing by 11.8% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs. 2,235 Crore. This growth was propelled by broad-based performance across all its business segments.
Profitability and Margins Strengthen
EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs. 224 Crore, marking a 14.2% increase YoY, which outpaced revenue growth. This improvement was attributed to effective pricing interventions, operating leverage, and cost management initiatives. Consequently, Profit After Tax (PAT) saw a significant rise of 15.2% YoY, reaching Rs. 143 Crore, with a healthy margin of 6.4%.
Segmental Highlights
In terms of segment performance, ECD reported a revenue growth of 10.6% YoY, driven by strong sales in BLDC fans, Pumps, and Large Appliances. Lighting delivered a robust double-digit revenue growth of 15.4% YoY, with an EBIT margin of 12.0%. The Butterfly segment also posted a double-digit revenue growth of 14.1% YoY, with its EBIT margin improving significantly.
Strategic Initiatives and Innovation
The company also highlighted recent updates including the rollout of B2C solar rooftop and solar pumps to the retail market in select cities. Crompton reiterated its focus on its strategic priorities under Crompton 2.0, emphasizing accelerated premiumization, deeper distribution, and consumer-centric innovation to drive long-term value creation. Notably, the Butterfly brand won the Golden Peacock Eco-Innovation Award 2026 for its 5-star rated cooktop, ‘RENZ COOKTOP’.
