Cochin Shipyard Limited announces the extension of additional charge for the post of Chairman & Managing Director to Shri Jose V J, Director (Finance). This extension, approved by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, is effective from May 01, 2026, for a period of 3 months or until a regular incumbent joins. This follows the retirement of the previous Chairman & Managing Director.

Extension of Additional Charge for Chairman & Managing Director

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has officially communicated an update regarding the leadership role of Chairman & Managing Director. Following our previous notification on January 31, 2026, which informed about Shri Jose V J, Director (Finance), being entrusted with the additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director consequent to the superannuation of the then Chairman & Managing Director, Shri Madhu Sankunny Nair, CSL is providing further details.

Approval and Duration

We wish to inform that the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, vide their communication dated June 01, 2026, has confirmed that the Competent Authority has approved the proposal for extending the additional charge of the post of Chairman & Managing Director to Shri Jose V J, Director (Finance). This extension is granted for a further period of 3 months. The extended period is effective from May 01, 2026, and will continue until a regular incumbent joins the post, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
