CEAT: Urges Shareholders to Update KYC for Dividend Payouts

CEAT Limited is reminding shareholders holding shares in physical form about the mandatory requirement to update their Know Your Customer (KYC) details. This is in line with SEBI directives to prevent the withholding of dividend payments. Shareholders are urged to submit necessary documentation to the Registrar and Transfer Agent to ensure the timely receipt of their dividends and avoid transfer to the Investor Education and Protection Fund.

Shareholder Advisory on KYC Compliance

CEAT Limited has issued an important communication to its shareholders, particularly those holding shares in physical mode, regarding the necessity of updating their Know Your Customer (KYC) details. This advisory is in adherence to SEBI Master Circular No. HO/38/13/(4)2026-MIRSD-POD/I/4298/2026, dated February 6, 2026.

Dividend Payment Prerequisites

The company is constrained to withhold dividend payouts for shareholders whose KYC is not compliant. To ensure the uninterrupted receipt of dividend payments, shareholders are required to furnish their KYC details to the Registrar and Transfer Agent, NSDL Database Management Limited. This is crucial for facilitating the timely remittance of dividends and preventing the eventual transfer of unclaimed dividends and associated shares to the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority.

Action Required by Shareholders

Shareholders are encouraged to update their details promptly. This includes providing mandatory information such as PAN, Choice of Nomination, updated Contact Details (including postal address and mobile number), and Bank Account Details with a Specimen Signature. Payments, including dividends, interest, and redemption proceeds, will be processed strictly through electronic mode only. This update is effective from April 1, 2024, for any payment made post this date.

How to Update Details

Shareholders need to submit the relevant forms (ISR-1, ISR-2, ISR-3, ISR-4) along with self-attested documents to the Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA). For shares held in electronic mode, shareholders should update their KYC and bank details with their respective Depository Participants. For shares held in physical mode, the updated information and documents should be sent to:
