Black Box Reports Strong Q1 FY27 Financial Performance
Black Box Limited has announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, showcasing robust growth and a strengthened market position. The company’s revenue for the quarter stood at ₹1,719 crore, marking a significant 24% year-over-year increase. This growth was fueled by improved execution of its expanding order backlog and the contribution from its recently acquired Brazilian business.
Record Order Backlog and New Orders
The company achieved an all-time high order backlog of US$949 million (~₹8,986 crore), representing an 83% increase compared to the previous year. This substantial growth in backlog was driven by new orders worth approximately US$339 million (~₹3,208 crore) secured during the quarter. The backlog reflects a step-change in the scale and quality of the business, with an increasing participation in large, multi-year, and mission-critical programs, providing 24-36 months of revenue visibility.
EBITDA Growth and Profitability
Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) for the quarter increased by 38% to ₹160 crore, with the EBITDA margin improving by 90 basis points to 9.3%. Profit After Tax (PAT) grew by 18% to ₹56 crore. The company attributes this improved profitability to operational leverage and disciplined working capital management.
Strategic Focus and Future Outlook
Black Box highlighted its growing participation in AI-led digital infrastructure, expanding hyperscaler relationships, and a deep presence across approximately 300 strategic enterprise accounts. The company aims to convert this opportunity into disciplined, profitable growth with the ambition of becoming a US$2 billion revenue company by FY30. Order bookings are expected to strengthen through FY27, with an anticipated exit backlog of US$1.3–1.4 billion.
