Bharti Airtel has significantly bolstered its network infrastructure in Maharashtra and Goa by deploying over 3,400 new 5G sites in the last 12 months. This expansion brings high-speed, reliable connectivity to more than 22 million customers across 36 districts. The initiative is part of the company’s commitment to bridging digital gaps in both urban centers and remote, underserved regions, ensuring seamless access for citizens, students, and businesses alike.
Boosting Digital Connectivity
As of April 21, 2026, Bharti Airtel has successfully scaled its 5G presence across Maharashtra and Goa. By adding over 3,400 new sites, the company is delivering faster internet speeds and enhanced network reliability to millions of users. This expansion serves a diverse demographic, ranging from residents in bustling cities to those in remote rural villages, including historically underserved areas like Gadchiroli, Nandurbar, and Sindhudurg.
Enhancing the Customer Experience
The network upgrade is designed to support the rapidly growing data demand in the region. With more than nine new sites going live daily, customers can expect improvements in streaming, online learning, and digital transactions. According to Rabi Shankar Mishra, CEO – Maharashtra & Goa, these investments are a strategic move to ensure the region remains future-ready, effectively bridging connectivity divides.
Unlimited Data Plans
To complement the improved infrastructure, Airtel has introduced a fully unlimited data plan within its ₹399 recharge pack for smartphone users. This offer aims to encourage seamless usage for streaming and professional work without the constraints of data caps. The company continues to prioritize density across high-mobility zones, including highways, semi-urban villages, and economic corridors, to maintain robust connectivity across the region.
