Bata India Limited Changes in Senior Management Personnel

Bata India Limited has announced significant changes to its senior leadership team. The company has appointed Ms. Sudakshina Ghosh as the new Vice President – HR, effective on or before May 25, 2026. Simultaneously, the company confirmed that Mr. Uttam Kumar, who served as Senior Vice President – Merchandising & Replenishment, has resigned to pursue career opportunities outside the organization, with his tenure ending on May 1, 2026.

Leadership Transition in Human Resources

Bata India Limited is strengthening its leadership team with the appointment of Ms. Sudakshina Ghosh as the incoming Vice President – HR. Ms. Ghosh brings over 18 years of extensive experience in human resources, having previously served as the Country HR Head for GSK Vietnam since 2022. Her background includes leadership roles at renowned organizations such as the Asian Paints group and the GSK group. She holds an MBA in HR and a Bachelors degree in Engineering, with a demonstrated history of cultivating high-performance, inclusive work cultures to drive organizational growth.

Resignation of Senior Vice President

The company also acknowledged the departure of Mr. Uttam Kumar, who held the position of Senior Vice President – Merchandising & Replenishment. Mr. Kumar has submitted his resignation to explore new professional opportunities. His tenure at Bata India Limited will conclude at the end of working hours on May 1, 2026. The management has expressed its appreciation for his contributions to the firm and wished him success in his future endeavors.
