BASF India Clarification Regarding New Global Service Hubs in Hyderabad

BASF India has clarified that the newly announced Global Business Services and Global Digital Hubs in Hyderabad are operated by independent subsidiaries of BASF SE, Germany. These entities, namely BASF Global Business Services Private Limited and BASF Digital Solutions Private Ltd, operate separately from the Indian listed entity. Consequently, the establishment of these facilities has no material financial impact on the business or operations of BASF India Ltd.

Clarification on Corporate Structure

Following recent media reports regarding the establishment of two global hubs in Hyderabad, BASF India Ltd has issued a formal clarification to the exchanges. The company confirmed that the Global Business Services and Global Digital hubs are housed under dedicated subsidiaries of the global parent, BASF SE, Germany. BASF India Ltd holds no equity stake in these entities, and the operations of the new hubs remain distinct from those of the Indian listed company.

Strategic Expansion in Hyderabad

Despite the separation of corporate entities, BASF is significantly expanding its footprint in India. The new Global Service Hub, scheduled to commence operations in the second quarter of 2026, will focus on delivering integrated Finance and HR services. This expansion follows a rigorous evaluation process and underscores the company’s commitment to utilizing India’s highly skilled talent pool to support its global business units, including supply chain, regulatory, and digital enablement functions.

Strengthening Global Capabilities

The establishment of these hubs represents a major milestone for the BASF Group. By creating a collaborative environment between the Global Business Services and Global Digital divisions, the company aims to enhance its long-term competitiveness and service efficiency worldwide. The Hyderabad facility joins other strategic global hubs located in Berlin, Kuala Lumpur, and Montevideo, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to digital transformation and process harmonization across its international operations.
