Bank of Maharashtra: Appoints Naresh Kumar Vashisht as Non-Official Director

Board Appointment

Bank of Maharashtra has announced the appointment of Shri Naresh Kumar Vashisht as a Part-time Non-official Director on its Board. The appointment was notified by the Department of Financial Services (DFS) vide notification no. eF. No. 6/2(ii)/2026-BO-I dated August 12, 2026. This appointment is made in exercise of the powers conferred by the Clause (h) of sub-section (3) of Section 9 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970.

Tenure and Profile

Shri Naresh Kumar Vashisht will serve as a Part-time Non-official Director for a period of three years, commencing from the date of issuance of the notification, or until further orders from the Government of India, whichever is earlier. Mr. Vashisht is 52 years old and holds a Master of Commerce (M.Com) degree and an MBA in Human Resource Development (HRD). He possesses extensive professional experience in the construction sector, with significant exposure to project execution, business operations, workforce management, and organizational administration. He is not related to any existing Director of Bank of Maharashtra and is not debarred from holding the office of Director by any SEBI order or other regulatory authority.
