Bank of Baroda: Capital Raising Committee to Decide on ₹6,000 Crore Bond Issuance

Bank of Baroda’s Capital Raising Committee (CRC) is scheduled to meet on August 7, 2026, to decide on issuing Additional Tier 1 (AT1) and/or Tier II bonds. This move aims to raise additional capital of up to Rs. 6,000 Crore. The issuance is planned in tranches until March 31, 2027, and potentially beyond, as deemed expedient by the board.

Capital Raising Committee Meeting Scheduled

Bank of Baroda has announced that its Capital Raising Committee (CRC) will convene on August 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The primary agenda for this meeting is to deliberate and decide on the proposed issuance of Additional Tier 1 (AT1) and/or Tier II bonds.

Significant Capital Infusion Planned

This meeting follows a Board of Directors’ resolution passed on May 8, 2026, which approved the raising of additional capital. The bank aims to secure up to Rs. 6,000 Crore through these bond issuances. The capital raising exercise is slated to occur in suitable tranches and is planned to extend up to March 31, 2027, with the possibility of continuation beyond this date if deemed expedient.
