Strong Q2 Performance

Balrampur Chini Mills Limited has declared its financial results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026. The company has reported a robust performance, highlighted by a significant increase in profitability across its key segments.

Sugar Segment Highlights

The Sugar segment demonstrated exceptional growth, with its Profit Before Interest and Tax (PBIT) soaring by 166% to Rs. 140.75 crore for Q2 FY27, a notable improvement from the previous year’s comparable quarter. This surge in PBIT is attributed to strong volume growth coupled with improved realisations, supported by firm domestic prices, which helped offset rising cost pressures.

Distillery Segment Challenges

The Distillery segment performance was impacted by compressed margins. This was primarily due to the non-revision of Ethanol procurement prices, despite an increase in sugarcane prices and higher operating costs.

Interim Dividend Declared

In recognition of the company’s performance and financial health, the Board of Directors, in their meeting held on November 4, 2026, approved and declared an interim dividend. The dividend is set at Rs. 4.00 per equity share, representing 400% on equity shares of Re. 1/- each.
