The board has recommended a final dividend of Rs. 130 per share, which includes a Rs. 50 special payout to mark the 100th anniversary of the Bajaj Group. The company’s strong performance was driven by strategic investments and record earnings across its key holdings.
Financial Performance Overview
For the financial year 2025-26, Bajaj Holdings & Investment Limited (BHIL) achieved significant growth in its financial results. The consolidated profit after tax surged to Rs. 9,637 crore, a 48% increase compared to the previous year. On a standalone basis, the company reported a profit after tax of Rs. 4,708 crore for the same period. The results were bolstered by the sale of equity shares in Bajaj Finserv Limited, which contributed significantly to the bottom line.
Dividend and Shareholder Rewards
In celebration of the Bajaj Group’s 100-year milestone, the Board of Directors has recommended a substantial final dividend of Rs. 130 per equity share (a 1,300% payout). This total includes a special celebratory dividend of Rs. 50 per share. Subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting, the dividend payout is expected to be credited by 5 August 2026. The record date to determine eligibility for the dividend has been set for 30 June 2026.
Strategic Developments
The company continues to realign its investment portfolio, with a focus on core investment activities. A major strategic highlight of the year was the acquisition of a 17.56% equity stake in both Bajaj General Insurance Limited and Bajaj Life Insurance Limited, amounting to an investment of Rs. 16,333.30 crore. Furthermore, the board approved the re-appointment of Dr. Arindam Bhattacharya as an Independent Director for a second consecutive five-year term, effective from 17 September 2026.
