Bajaj Finserv: Q1 FY27 Results Approved, ESOP Shares to be Issued

Bajaj Finserv Limited’s Board of Directors convened on July 31, 2026, approving the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The Board also greenlit the issuance of 15,11,358 equity shares to the Bajaj Finserv ESOP Trust and granted approval to pursue re-insurance business through a new subsidiary.

Bajaj Finserv Board Approves Q1 FY27 Financials, Strategic Initiatives

The Board of Directors of Bajaj Finserv Limited convened on July 31, 2026, to review and approve key strategic and financial matters. At the meeting, the Board officially approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results of the Company for the quarter that concluded on June 30, 2026. These results were prepared in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards and were accompanied by limited review reports with an unmodified opinion.

Equity Issuance for Employee Stock Options

In a move to incentivize its workforce, the Board also approved the issuance of 15,11,358 equity shares, each with a face value of Re.1, to the Bajaj Finserv ESOP Trust. These shares will rank pari-passu with existing equity shares and are intended for allocation under the Bajaj Finserv Limited Employee Stock Option Scheme, as amended, adhering to SEBI regulations.

Pursuit of Re-insurance Business Approved

Further strengthening its business portfolio, the Board granted its approval for Bajaj Finserv Limited to pursue re-insurance business. This expansion will be conducted through a new subsidiary of the Company that is slated for incorporation. The initiative is subject to the necessary approvals from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and other relevant authorities.

Financial Highlights for Q1 FY27

The unaudited financial statements reveal significant performance indicators. For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Bajaj Finserv Limited reported a consolidated total income of ₹42,037 crore, marking a 19% increase year-on-year. Consolidated profit after tax attributable to owners stood at ₹3,132 crore, an increase of 12%. The company’s diversified business segments, including Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Life, contributed substantially to these results, with Bajaj Finance reporting a consolidated profit after tax of ₹6,081 crore and Bajaj Life showing an 87% growth in Net Value of New Business (VNB).
