The company reported a 17% increase in net sales, reaching ₹9,156 crore, up from ₹7,849 crore in Q1 FY26. This top-line growth was attributed to healthy volume growth and strategic pricing actions, alongside a favorable product mix with a strong focus on premiumization.
Profitability Soars Amidst Market Dynamics
Profitability saw substantial gains, with PBDIT growing by 32.2% to ₹2,012 crore. The PBT also increased significantly by 34% to ₹1,982 crore, and PAT rose by 34.3% to ₹1,478 crore. This strong profit growth was supported by cost optimization initiatives and effective management of gross margins, which stood at 43.8%, an increase of 66 basis points year-on-year, despite inflationary pressures. The company noted that innovation-led products contributed approximately 17% of overall revenues.
Key Growth Drivers and Strategic Initiatives
The company highlighted several key growth initiatives driving its performance, including a massive upsurge in brand building, innovation for differentiation and premiumization, services ignition, regional market ignition, widening the net in B2B, and backward integration. Innovations such as Anti-Damp Technology in Eco-Emulsions and the WoodTech Emporio Orano were specifically mentioned.
The B2B segment demonstrated strong momentum, with growth in segments like Buildings, Factories, and Government. The company is also expanding its reach in international markets with new product launches and strategic extensions of its product portfolio. Consolidated financials mirrored the standalone performance, with net sales growing 17.9% and PBDIT margin at 20.6%.
