Archean Chemical Industries Limited has announced its financial results for the first quarter of FY27, ending June 30, 2026. The company reported a consolidated revenue of INR 3,328.1 million, marking a 10.7% increase year-on-year and an 8.6% increase sequentially. The EBITDA on a consolidated basis reached INR 728.7 million, demonstrating a substantial 48.5% sequential growth.

Key Segment Highlights

On a standalone basis, revenue for the quarter was INR 3,321 million, up 14% year-on-year. EBITDA stood at INR 888.7 million, with margins expanding to 25.3%. The company’s bromine volumes reached their highest in five quarters, with realizations up 50% year-on-year. Notably, the derivatives business, Acume, achieved EBITDA positive status for the first time, delivering INR 19 million EBITDA against a loss of INR 27 million in the prior year.

Operational and Market Outlook

The company’s operational focus in Q1 was on delivering commitments and optimizing performance in bromine and its derivatives, while navigating a challenging industrial salt environment. Freight and fuel costs have stabilized, and infrastructure work is nearing completion, which is expected to normalize logistics costs. Archean Chemical anticipates continued momentum in the second half of FY27, driven by a recovering bromine market and stable industrial salt pricing.

Strategic Initiatives and Future Growth

The company is progressing with its Sulphate of Potash (SOP) trials, with Phase 2 expected by Q3. The semiconductor project in Odisha is moving forward according to schedule. Archean Chemical is also investing in off-grid energy solutions, seeing potential for both a standalone business and flow-through demand for zinc bromide. The company remains focused on consolidating its core salt and bromine businesses while exploring growth opportunities in derivatives and advanced materials.
