Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited Leadership Transition Announced

Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited has announced a significant leadership transition, with Mr. Amar Sinha set to take over as the company’s new Managing Director. Mr. Sinha will assume the role on June 1, 2026, for a tenure of three years, succeeding the outgoing Managing Director, Mr. Alok Gupta, who steps down on May 31, 2026.

Strategic Leadership Change

Following a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors of Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited has approved a key change in top management. Mr. Alok Gupta will step down from his position as Managing Director and Key Managerial Personnel at the end of business hours on May 31, 2026. Consequently, Mr. Amar Sinha has been appointed as an Additional Director and will assume the mantle of Managing Director effective June 1, 2026, serving a term that concludes on May 31, 2029.

About the Incoming Managing Director

Mr. Amar Sinha brings over three decades of extensive leadership experience in the alco-beverage and consumer sectors. Throughout his career, he has successfully led major corporations through periods of significant growth and organizational transformation. His previous leadership roles include serving as Chief Operating Officer at Radico Khaitan and Managing Director at Whyte & Mackay India, alongside executive positions at Herbertsons (UB Group).

The incoming leader holds a distinguished record of professional recognition, including being named the Most Enterprising CEO of the Year at the 2015 Rajeev Gandhi Excellence Awards. He also received the Make in India Excellence Award in 2016 and was honored as Business Leader of the Year at the 2023 IndSpirit Awards. His deep expertise in sales, marketing, and brand building is expected to drive the company’s future strategic objectives.
