The facility, located at Pipavav Port, has a static capacity of 36,000 MT and was acquired from promoter Aegis Logistics Limited for ₹525 crore. This acquisition is effective from August 24, 2026, and signifies a substantial addition to the company’s growing capacity and market position in chemical and gas logistics.

Strategic Capacity Expansion in Pipavav

Aegis Vopak Terminals Limited (AVTL) announced today, August 24, 2026, that its subsidiary, Aegis Terminal (Pipavav) Limited (ATPL), has successfully executed a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) with its promoter, Aegis Logistics Limited (ALL). This agreement marks the acquisition of a specialized storage terminal for Ammonia situated at Pipavav Port.

Key Acquisition Details

The acquired facility boasts a static capacity of 36,000 Metric Tonnes (MT). The transaction was conducted on a slump sale basis as a going concern. The total consideration for this strategic acquisition amounts to INR 5,250,000,000 (Rupees Five Hundred Twenty-five Crores only), payable upon the execution of the BTA. This new capacity addition is set to become effective from August 24, 2026.

Investment and Rationale

The total investment required for this expansion is INR 5,250,000,000, to be financed through internal accruals and debt. The rationale behind this acquisition is to significantly strengthen the Group’s market position by adding specialized ammonia storage and handling capabilities to its existing chemicals and gas logistics portfolio. This development is expected to address the growing demand from fertilizer, industrial, and emerging energy transition customers, establishing a robust new growth platform for AVTL.
