Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) has been recognized as the highest ESG-scored company globally in the Utilities sector by S&P Global. Achieving an ESG score of 90 out of 100, AESL significantly outperforms the industry average of 41. This distinction highlights the company’s strong performance across environmental, social, and governance dimensions, with Environmental scoring 93, Social 89, and Governance & Economic 84.

Global Recognition for Sustainability

Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) has been awarded the distinction of being the world’s highest ESG-scored company within the Utilities sector, as assessed by S&P Global. This recognition follows the completion of S&P Global’s latest Media and Stakeholder Analysis (MSA) review. Following a correction in the governance-related assessment, AESL’s ESG standing saw a significant enhancement, securing an impressive score of 90 out of 100.

Leading the Utilities Sector

This score places AESL at the pinnacle of the global utilities sector, substantially exceeding the industry average of 41. Previously, AESL’s score stood at 81. The company’s disclosure-based Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) score has also seen a notable increase, rising by 17 points year-on-year to reach the current 90. The company’s strong performance is distributed across key ESG dimensions, with Environmental scoring at 93, Social at 89, and Governance & Economic at 84, all significantly outperforming industry benchmarks. Key drivers contributing to AESL’s success include Product Stewardship, Climate Strategy, and Human Capital Management.
