ACME Solar has secured a power purchase agreement (PPA) with SECI for a 200 MW solar project coupled with a 100 MW/400 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The tariff is set at INR 3.42 per unit, and the project is slated for commissioning by June 2027. This deal increases ACME Solar’s total PPA-signed capacity to 5.38 GW.

New Power Purchase Agreement

ACME Solar, through its subsidiary, ACME Platinum Urja Pvt Ltd, has finalized a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SECI Limited for a 200 MW Solar power project integrated with a 100 MW/400 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (ESS). The agreed tariff is INR 3.42 per unit.

Project Details and Timeline

The PPA was officially signed on November 24, 2025. SECI had initially granted the Letter of Award to ACME Solar for a total capacity of 350 MW in July 2024; a PPA for 150 MW of this capacity was already signed in October 2024. This new agreement completes the allocation of the initially awarded capacity.

The project requires ACME Solar to maintain a Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 25%-27% during solar hours. The project should also ensure a minimum availability of 70% monthly and 85% annually during peak evening hours. The expected commissioning date is June 2027.

Impact on ACME Solar’s Portfolio

With this new agreement, ACME Solar has cumulatively signed PPAs for 800 MW of contracted capacity, including 2,320 MWh of BESS, in the current financial year. The company’s overall PPA-signed capacity now totals 5.38 GW.
