ACME Solar Holdings Limited has signed a Power Procurement Agreement (PPA) for a 300 MW / 1,200 MWh peak supply project under SECI’s FDRE-IX tranche. The agreement, effective from October 6, 2026, secures a tariff of INR 6 per unit and supports India’s renewable energy goals by providing dispatchable clean power during evening and night-time peaks. This development expands ACME Solar’s contracted portfolio to 4,310 MW.
ACME Solar Secures Significant PPA
ACME Solar Holdings Limited, through its subsidiary ACME Greentech Twenty Pvt Ltd, has inked a crucial Power Procurement Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI). This agreement is for a substantial 300 MW / 1,200 MWh assured peak supply project, falling under the SECI’s FDRE-IX tranche. The PPA establishes a tariff of INR 6 per unit and commenced on October 6, 2026.
Boosting Grid Stability and Capacity
This FDRE project is designed to address the increasing demand for reliable, dispatchable clean power, particularly during evening and night-time peak hours. By integrating this project, ACME Solar aims to enhance grid stability as the share of renewable energy in India’s power mix grows. Following this PPA, ACME Solar’s under-construction, PPA-signed contracted portfolio now stands at 4,310 MW, contributing to its total under-construction contracted capacity of 5,380 MW.
Innovative Energy Solution
Under the terms of this FDRE project, ACME Solar will supply 4 MWh per MW of contracted capacity daily during non-solar hours. This will be achieved through a combination of Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technologies, ensuring a minimum monthly availability of 90%. The project leverages existing night-time connectivity infrastructure, demonstrating an innovative approach to energy management.
