BPCL: Amit Kumar Appointed Chief Procurement Officer

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has announced a change in its senior management. Shri Amit Kumar has been appointed as the new Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) for Marketing, effective August 1, 2026. This follows the superannuation of Shri U. S. N. Bhat and Shri Kani Amudhan N. Shri Kumar’s appointment brings his experience in the retail and CPO sectors to this key strategic role.

Senior Management Update at BPCL

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has informed stakeholders of a significant change in its senior management team. Effective August 1, 2026, Shri Amit Kumar has been appointed as the new Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) for Marketing. This appointment follows the retirement of Shri U. S. N. Bhat, Executive Director (IS), and Shri Kani Amudhan N, the previous Chief Procurement Officer (CPO Mktg.), who both superannuated from the company’s services on July 31, 2026.

Shri Amit Kumar’s Profile

Shri Amit Kumar brings valuable experience to his new role as CPO Mktg. He holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. Throughout his tenure at BPCL, he has successfully managed various responsibilities within both the Retail and CPO (Marketing) divisions, equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of the company’s procurement needs and strategies.
