Gravita India has reported a robust performance for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2027 (Q1 FY27). Revenue surged by 42% year-on-year to INR1,475 crore, driven by enhanced capacity utilization and operational efficiencies. EBITDA grew by 29% to INR145 crore, with PAT increasing by 14% to INR106.39 crore. The company also achieved a significant milestone with its London Metal Exchange Brand Listing for lead metal produced at its Mundra facility.
Gravita India Reports Strong Q1 FY27 Financials
Gravita India Limited announced its financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), showcasing a significant growth trajectory. The company’s revenue reached INR1,475 crore, marking a substantial year-on-year increase of 42%. This growth was attributed to higher capacity utilization across key segments and continuous operational efficiencies, with value-added products contributing 63% of the consolidated revenue.
EBITDA and PAT Growth
Adjusted EBITDA for Q1 FY27 stood at INR145 crore, an impressive rise of 29% compared to the same period last year. EBITDA margins remained healthy, exceeding 9.80%. Consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) registered a growth of 14% year-on-year, reaching INR106.39 crore, with PAT margins maintained above 7.21%. Overall operational performance saw total volumes increase by 4% to 55,455 metric tons per annum.
Strategic Milestones and Capacity Expansion
A key highlight for the quarter was Gravita achieving the London Metal Exchange (LME) Brand Listing for its lead metal produced at the Mundra, Gujarat division under the brand name GRAVITA M. This accreditation positions Gravita among a select group of Indian secondary lead recyclers approved by the LME, enhancing its credibility and export market potential. The company also successfully expanded its Phagi, Jaipur lead facility, adding 40,500 metric tons per annum of recycling capacity, bringing its total to 75,819 metric tons per annum, funded entirely through internal accruals.
Gravita’s total installed capacity now stands at 4.97 lakh metric tons per annum, with a firm target to scale this to over 8 lakh metric tons per annum by FY29. The company is also progressing well with its diversification into copper, with a 29,400 metric ton per annum copper recycling facility in Gujarat under development, expected to be commissioned within the next 12 months. The company has earmarked a total capex of INR1,680 crore through FY29 for strengthening existing businesses and entering new verticals like lithium-ion batteries, copper, and steel.
