The company delivered a strong performance, with revenue growing approximately 33% year-on-year (YoY) to INR 4,700 million. This growth was driven by a strong performance across both mature and new hospitals.
Key Financial Highlights
The company reported a healthy EBITDA margin of approximately 28.6%. EBITDA for the quarter stood at INR 1,346 million, an increase of 29.9% compared to Q1 FY26. Profit After Tax (PAT) also saw a significant rise, reaching INR 625 million, up 16.2% YoY.
Strategic Expansion and Growth Initiatives
Rainbow Children’s Medicare is set to expand its geographical footprint by entering the Mumbai market with a planned 100-bed brownfield hospital, expected to commence operations in Q1 FY28. This marks a strategic milestone in entering the Western India market. Additionally, the company is strengthening its presence in Andhra Pradesh by acquiring a 70-bed children’s hospital in Nellore and a new 50-bed hospital in Guntur.
The company is also accelerating its digital transformation journey and investing in technology-led initiatives to enhance patient experience and streamline operations. Looking ahead, Rainbow Children’s Medicare aims to strengthen operational excellence, improve occupancy, and drive efficiencies across its network.
Operational Performance
Operational highlights for Q1 FY27 include a 26% increase in capacity beds to 2,435 and a 22% increase in operational beds to 1,862. Inpatient discharges grew by 28%, and outpatient consultations rose by 25%. Deliveries saw a 23% increase.
