IIFL Capital Services Limited has made available the transcript of its Q1 FY27 earnings conference call, which took place on Friday, July 24, 2026. This document provides detailed insights into the company’s financial performance for the first quarter of the fiscal year.

Key Financial Highlights from the Call

During the call, management discussed consolidated operational revenue for the quarter, which was approximately INR631 crores, showing a flat quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year performance. Retail broking revenue stood at approximately INR297 crores, while institutional and investment banking revenue saw a 27% increase, reaching INR207 crores. Financial product distribution income was reported at INR125 crores, a decrease of nearly 31% from the previous quarter, attributed partly to seasonal insurance income and transactional income booked in the prior period.

Employee costs remained stable at approximately INR179 crores. Finance costs decreased by 48% to INR60 crores. Operational Profit Before Tax (PBT) was reported at INR149 crores, a 4% increase quarter-on-quarter. Other income saw a significant rise, largely due to mark-to-market gains on BSE shares.

Fairfax Investment Update and Tax Note

The management also provided an update on the proposed investment by Fairfax India Holdings Corporation, which aims to increase its shareholding to at least 51%. This transaction, valued at approximately INR2,000 crores, is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed within the next 2 to 3 months. Additionally, the company noted a demand of INR124 crores from the Income Tax department following a search conducted in January 2025, against which appeals have been filed.
